Team Endeavour are delighted that Ryan Gratrix has signed up to take on the Kilimanjaro climb this summer. Ryan was born with cerebal palsy and is a true inspiration with a wealth of knowledge. He will be a positive influence on the team and we look forward to hearing about his Kilimanjaro experience, as he will be the fifth person in a wheelchair to ever reach the top. We wish you all the best. Read more about Ryan’s story below;

“I’m currently the founding managing director of GRX Life, a specialist provider of bespoke mobility solutions. Having a varied sporting background, I’ve always thrived on taking on a challenge and the climax was representing Team GB at the Atlanta Paralympic Games in 1996.

With a keen interest in exploring the world and taking the path least travelled.  I’ve ended up backpacking around a host of different countries over the years, from supporting charities to working in Africa for the British High Commission. I was also sponsored by Fat Face, Eaton College and Canon to complete an expedition called WheelOz. Turning up in Australia with nothing but a few wheelchair spares and a 1 man tent I started in Cairns and finished in Sydney. Having raised nearly £20,000 along the way, WheelOz was adopted by a number of local schools in Hampshire as an example of what anyone can achieve, regardless of the obstacles in the way.

Today, the willingness to help and inspire others lives on through the kit we provide to our GRX Life client base. I feel incredibly honoured to be part of the Team Endeavour Kilimanjaro Challenge and can’t wait to share such an epic experience with such a great bunch of guys”.
